We are a community for anyone working in the helping professions (psychologists, therapists, coaches, healthcare professionals, frontline workers, teachers, etc.).
webinars, workshops and retreats to support our community of helpers.
But most of all, we offer a space for helpers to experience community, support and emotional nourishment.
The focus is on healing, preventing burnout, staying resourced and feeling supported.
what we bring is the science of psychoneuroimmunology: the recognition that the mind is not separate from the body.
It is within the body, interconnected: the mindbody.
Seen through this lens, we understand that the body runs the show.
we bring our whole selves to our work, not just our thinking minds, and it is often in our bodies that the impact of our work shows up: in our nervous systems, our immune systems, our neural networks.
This aspect of caring for others is often overlooked or not fully understood, especially within the organisations and systems we find ourselves in.
The paradox is that more than ever, workers in caring professions are needing time off work due to poor ill health, burnout, excessive fatigue, and poor mental health.
At The Helpers Hub, we believe in the importance of understanding the impact of our work at a somatic level. Our overall aim is to help cultivate sustainable working lives for anyone who cares for others as part of their job.
We do this through research-based psychoeducation and scientifically proven methods of managing stress, trauma and compassion fatigue.
